Eric Kaufmann has long been an advocate of free speech, and he has an interesting story to tell. He has recently published a book about Woke progressivism in the English-speaking world, entitled Taboo: How making race sacred produced a cultural revolution (Forum Press, 2024).
Eric was kind enough to talk to me after getting up in Hollywood of all places. The points he is making are consistent with the pieces he published on both Unherd and Quillette: Trump and his men are overreaching, just as the radical progressives overreached when they were in power.
